To combat “Innovation Lag” at a Global Information & Analytics Business, where rigid infrastructure delayed projects by a full quarter, a Private Cloud environment was developed integrating high-density compute and scale-out storage. This self-service platform compressed delivery timelines from 90 days to under 10 minutes, proving that speed is a security feature; if IT is too slow, developers inevitably turn to “Shadow IT”.
CONTEXT (THE BLOCKAGE)
The CTO of a Global Information & Analytics Business initiated a mandate to fix the “Innovation Lag” caused by a rigid infrastructure delivery model that took a full quarter to stand up new environments.
THE ACTION
Worked with Vendor Research Labs to develop a “Private Cloud” environment integrating High-Density Compute and Scale-Out Storage into a single self-service platform.
THE RESULT
Compressed infrastructure delivery timelines from 90 days to under 10 minutes, validating the internal “IT as a Service” model.
